News Release: AMA Toronto launches 2017/18 Mentor Exchange

Toronto, July 13, 2017 — The American Marketing Association’s Toronto chapter (AMA Toronto) is pleased to announce the launch of its 2017/18 Mentor Exchange program.  The popular AMA Mentor Exchange, now in its eighth year, is taking applicants until July 28.

The program, in partnership with the Schulich Executive Education Centre, pairs 50 mid-career marketing and business executives together with 50 top industry veterans.

“The AMA Mentor Exchange provides a structured mentoring system that successfully connects mid-level managers, directors and entrepreneurs with C-suite executives,” says Craig Lund, Co-Chair of the AMA Mentor Exchange. “The goal of the program is to provide a one-on-one, nine-month mentoring relationship for senior managers to help inspire and enable them to become the leaders of tomorrow.”

Mentors include Marketing Hall of Legends inductees Jack Bensimon, Tony Chapman, Syd Kessler, David Kincaid, Stephen Graham, Dr. Alan Middleton, and Paul Rowen, as well as a diverse roster of accomplished educators, agency heads, and successful entrepreneurs.  Mentors participating in the program are from companies such as ADP Canada, Bell Mobility, Bensimon Bryne, Edelman, LoyaltyOne, MDC Partners, Nestlé Canada, Purolator, Scotiabank, and Weight Watchers Canada.

“The AMA Mentor Exchange is unique and important to marketing in Canada,” says David Kincaid, also Co-Chair of the AMA Mentor Exchange. “It responds to the need for external mentoring and enables the exchange of knowledge with the next generation of talent. The intention is to help create future Legends with an organized, systematic approach.”

Applicants must fit the criteria in order to be considered for a spot.  Full program details, application criteria, and a list of the 2017/18 mentor roster are available at

LoyaltyOne, a global leader in the design and implementation of coalition loyalty programs, customer analytics and loyalty services for Fortune 1000 clients around the world, has returned as the presenting sponsor of the AMA Mentor Exchange for the third consecutive year.  Additional partners of this year’s program include Hotspex, Phanta Media, and the Schulich Executive Education Centre.
