Michael Meagher is a Founding Mentor with the Mentor Exchange. And a leader with a proven track record for taking new ideas and soft businesses and turning them into successes. Michael’s experience has been a mix of corporate marketer and serial entrepreneur. His career began with a 9-year stint in the Canadian and European marketing departments of consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble. Following P&G Michael served as President of 5 successful business services firms.
Under his leadership those firms created more than 3,000 net new jobs and delivered a $25 million dollar return to shareholders. Business awards have included high growth (Profit magazine’s 16th fastest growing Canadian firm), best managed (Arthur Andersen’s 50 Best Managed Private Firms in Canada), best leadership (WPO: Best-Chapter-Worldwide of 171 chapters globally), and best program development (4 Best-In-The-World, 1 best North/Central/South America, and 8 Best-In-Canada YPO-WPO education events).
Michael is currently President of Cogniciti, a corporation charged with commercializing the brain health science of Baycrest, the world’s leading center for the study of memory and aging. In addition he is the Education Chair for WPO Canada Region and a lecturer at the Ivey School of Business in London Ontario where he teaches “Managing High Growth Firms”. His past accomplishments have included authoring/editing Canada’s first book on environmental marketing, campaign managing a winning federal election campaign in south-west Ontario, and Day Chairing two dozen President-to-President education programs.
Michael lives in London Ontario with his wife Jackie and teen-aged twins.
