Lisa Kimmel is the President and CEO of Edelman Canada, the world’s largest public relations firm. She is responsible for the recruitment and retention of talent, client service, new business development and reputation management, as well as overseeing the office’s operation and financial performance.
Prior to her current role, Kimmel led Edelman’s Consumer Marketing practice, building it into Canada’s largest from a team of six. At Edelman, she is also a member of the global strategy committee and the steering committee for the firm’s Global Women’s Executive Network (GWEN). Prior to joining Edelman in 2002, she worked for the public relations firm Cohn & Wolfe.
Kimmel is an honours graduate of the University of Toronto with a bachelor’s degree in political science and also holds a public relations certificate from Humber College. She has twice been named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 by the Women’s Executive Network.
Kimmel serves as a director of both Harbourfront Centre and SKETCH, an organization that enriches the lives of street youth through arts and skills programs. She is also actively involved with mentorship programs through GWEN, the American Marketing Association and Ten Thousand Coffees, a digital platform that connects students with industry leaders.
