Marie-Josée (MJ) has been leading the development of data-
driven Targeted Marketing multi-channel strategies at
Scotiabank since 2008.
She is a talented marketer who has shown great achievement in
her thoughtful leadership of successful channel usage and
optimization delivering excellent customer experience.
A 25-year veteran of the competitive world of banking, she acquired strong expertise in
financial marketing, with a focus on data-driven customer marketing. In the past, she
served as the Vice-President, Managing Director of FCB Direct, working with CIBC and
other clients. She was also at RBC Royal Bank as a Director, Direct Marketing where she
held progressively senior roles in marketing culminating in the development of RBC’s
complex Relationship Management (CRM) platform and its implementation. Before
RBC, Marie-Josée worked for Apple overseeing Marketing and Public Relations in
She has been a Director on the Board at NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society)
since 2011. She also served as a Director on the Board of the CMA (Canadian Marketing
Association) until 2006. She is a Jury for the Canadian Marketing Association awards, as
well as a frequent contributor to networking and mentoring events.
In May 2006, Marie-Josée received the CMA’s Honorary CMA Life Membership for her
outstanding contribution to the marketing community in Canada. And, in August 2010,
Marie-Josée was named to Direct Marketing magazine’s list of the Top 10 Women in
Direct Marketing. This list recognizes the achievements of top-performing Direct
Marketing executives in Canada.
