David Kincaid has worked in the marketing industry for over 30 years and has built many relationships/partnerships while helping companies grow their business not only in Canada but globally. He is among the most recognized and respected opinion leaders.
David is the founder, Managing Partner, and CEO of LEVEL5 STRATEGY GROUP, a unique brand strategy firm. LEVEL5 counts Manulife, Live Nation, General Motors, Ontario Tourism, Harley Davidson, Canada Goose, University Health Network, Metrolinx, Canada Post, CIBC, and Canadian Tire among its more prominent clients.
Prior to starting LEVEL5, David was the Chief Marketing Officer at Corus Entertainment where he helped set the organization’s corporate vision, values and positioning.
Before Corus, David was Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Strategic Planning at Labatt Breweries of Canada, where he led the company’s expansion into the United States, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. In this role, David was also a member of the leadership team behind the global expansion of Interbrew, establishing the company’s global brand portfolio standards. He played a major role in the successful turnaround of Labatt Blue with the award-winning “Out of the Blue” marketing platform, and launched the Stella Artois and Alexander Keith brands in North America. In the mid 1980’s, he was Director of Marketing and Sales at American Express Canada Inc. where he managed their premium cards.
David is a frequent lecturer and speaker at some of Canada’s leading business conferences and schools and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing in the Queen’s School of Business.
He has written on marketing for a wide range of publications, including Marketing Magazine, The Globe and Mail, Strategy and Profit Magazine.
He sits on the Board of St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation and StarTech.com. In January 2014, David was inducted in the American Marketing Association - Marketing Hall of Legends as an Enabler.
